A Lone Star State showdown left fans with a game that people will be talking about for years. Between high scoring quarters and the power going out, it was one for the books. Both teams found their rhythm early as Lufkin started the game strong, going up 14-0 on touchdowns from Kaleb Barraza and Kenny Waters. Longview, however, would quickly storm back scoring 21 straight. Touchdowns from Jayden Washington, Mason Washington and Tre Hamilton led the Lobos to the locker room at half up 7. From then on, it was all Longview. Holding Lufkin to just two second half points, the Lobos’ offense outscored Lufkin 20-2.
