A battle between the two oldest schools in Lawton, Oklahoma, these bitter rivals hold nothing back when they meet on the field. Fans pack the stadium every year for a game that is so crazy that the teams stay on their own side of the field and do no not cross during the game. Last season, we saw the Eisenhower Eagles take down the Lawton Wolverines for the first time since 2008, with a commanding 59-23 win. This year’s edition of the rivalry should be intense as Lawton hopes to bounce back, and Eisenhower looks to build a winning streak.
After putting the first TD on the board, Lawton took an early lead with just over 9 minutes left in the 1st quarter. In their next possession, the quarterback (#1) from Lawton fakes the pass and runs it into the endzone, padding Lawton's lead 14-0. With a minute and a half left in the 1st, Eisenhower gets a field goal, putting their first 3 on the board. After an interception and a pass, the Eagles score a TD bringing the score to 14-9. At the start of the 4th, the Wolverines were up 22-9. After a TD by Eisenhower and a TD by Lawton’s #2, the Wolverines claim victory with a final score of 30-16.
