The Battle of the Bell belonged to the Wildcats on Friday night, as Lawrence North dominated Lawrence Central from start to finish with a 42-0 victory. Lawrence North set the tone early, scoring in the first quarter before adding 21 points in the second to take a 28-0 lead into halftime. Quarterback Darian Prather led the Wildcats’ offensive attack with an outstanding performance, completing 10 of 11 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns. MVP IzayveonMoore was equally impressive, rushing for 62 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries while adding 77 receiving yards and another touchdown. Moore’s 77-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter pushed the Wildcats’ lead to 35-0 and highlighted an offensive performance that produced 450 total yards. Lawrence North continued to control the game on both sides of the ball, scoring in every quarter while its defense completely shut down the Bears. The Wildcats forced five turnovers, including three interceptions and two fumble recoveries, preventing Lawrence Central from finding any rhythm throughout the night. With the win, Lawrence North improved to 2-1 on the season, while Lawrence Central fell to 1-2.
