Entering its 92nd year, 100th meeting of the rivalry between the Depew Wildcats and the Lancaster Legends is a fierce one. This match-up dates back to 1919, but due to the intensity of this rivalry, and a rising concern for fan safety, the teams were forced to take an eight year hiatus in 1930. The two teams eventually came back together to continue the series, with Lancaster currently leading 52-32-6. This year, an estimated 5,000 fans are meeting at Depew’s football stadium to watch what will undoubtedly be one of the most intense and passionate face-offs of the season.

This year's Lancaster vs. Depew rivalry was a blowout by the Legends. Lancaster was the first to put points on the board with a TD and extra point secured by Connolly. Lancaster continued to maintain momentum throughout the entire game, and while Depew put up a valiant effort, they could not stop Lancaster from taking the kickoff back to house to secure a 15-3 lead at the end of the opening quarter. By the third quarter, Lancaster managed a 25 point lead over Depew, and continue to extend their lead in the fourth quarter. In the end, Lancaster won the game with an amazing 42-3 lead.
