Entering its 92nd year, 100th meeting of the rivalry between the Depew Wildcats and the Lancaster Legends is a fierce one. This match-up dates back to 1919, but due to the intensity of this rivalry, and a rising concern for fan safety, the teams were forced to take an eight year hiatus in 1930. The two teams eventually came back together to continue the series, with Lancaster currently leading 52-32-6. This year, an estimated 5,000 fans are meeting at Depew’s football stadium to watch what will undoubtedly be one of the most intense and passionate face-offs of the season.
