Another intense Florida rivalry takes place in Lakeland, Florida located just east of Tampa. Kathleen was dominant early on but recently, Lakeland has dominated their series. They took the last season matchup by a score of 41-14. Kathleen looks to “righten the ship” and use their home crowd to take control once again of the rivalry.

Jamal is a 3-year varsity letterman in football and 2-year letterman in Track. He is a 2022 FACA All-District Honorable Mention as an Outside Linebacker. He plans to attend college on a football scholarship and pursue a degree in the medical field.

Zach is the starting quarterback for Lakeland and is a former 8A offensive player of the year. He has thrown for over 5,000 yards in his high school career and has a bright future ahead of him wherever he decides to attend!
GAME SUMMARY
Tonight in Florida, the Dreadnaughts put the first points on the board with a rushing TD by #22. Another rushing touchdown from Lakeland’s #9 gave them a 14-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter. Two more TD’s sent this game into halftime with the Dreadnaughts commanding a blowout lead 28-0. #3 of Lakeland secured the win with a touchdown in the 4th bringing the final score to 35-0.
