Dating back to 1972, this is one of the most intense rivalries in Mississippi. This series has seen everything from blowouts, to nail-biters, to ties, as the Lafayette Commodores own the series lead 26-23-2, with only 1 point separating the teams all time. However, the Oxford Chargers have won eight out of the last ten matchups and are hoping to even up the series. Last season saw the commodores take home the win, for the first time in five years, in an exciting game. This year is sure to be another thriller, as Lafayette hopes to build a winning streak and Oxford hopes to bounce back and take down their rival.
