This rivalry began in 1994 and has been one of the premier high school football games in Wisconsin. The La Follette Lancer and Middleton Cardinals will faceoff once again to see who will win this year’s big game.

Sai Likhith Mallannagari

Middleton High School

Sai is a 4-year letterman for varsity, and he plays rugby for the Middleton Area Rugby Club. He maintained his GPA while taking a rigorous schedule of honors and AP classes. Sai also takes part in other diverse activities, including playing the violin for Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra, holding a leadership position as Communications Director at HOSA Club, and volunteering at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital. He hopes to attend Rice University on the track to medial school.
Henry Thies

La Follette High School

Senior Henry Thies is a 2-year starting center on the football team and the goalie on the lacrosse team. He has maintained a top GPA, and, as a member of the dual language immersion program since kindergarten, is fluent in Spanish. He plans to attend community college and take an apprenticeship to become an electrician.

GAME SUMMARY

The Middleton Cardinals beat the La Follette Lancers 49-21. Sai Likhith Mallannagari from Middleton and Henry Thies from La Follette won scholar athlete for this game. Both teams fought hard, but Middleton came out on top at the end.
