The Skyline vs Idaho Falls game is one of the most highly anticipated rivalry games in the state and it is a crosstown rivalry between schools who share the same football field that is located directly behind Idaho Falls High School. This Rivalry is anticipated by the town for the entire week, as over 70 businesses were painted school colors across the town to showcase support of this rivalry. Fans started to line up at the gate three hours prior to kickoff, in anticipation of getting a seat in the stadium.

David is a 3 year letterman on the varsity football team. He is also a member of the basketball team and has participated in both baseball and track and field. David is a two year all-conference selection in football.
Spencer Egbert

Idaho Falls

Spencer is a varsity three year lettermen in football and a two year varsity player in baseball. He is the president of the Idaho Falls High School boys’ federation club that performs many service projects in the community. Spencer has maintained a 4.0 grade point average during his high school career. Spencer plans to serve an LDS mission and then pursue a college degree.

GAME SUMMARY

This game was over after the first quarter as the heavy favorite Skyline took an 18-0 lead in large part due to their massive size advantage on the interior lines and stellar play from MVP and Scholar Athlete recipient David Ames III. At the half Skyline lead 31-7, and the second half was much of the same as Skyline completely dominated this game in route to a 52-7 win.
