Held at Hoover’s home field, Regions Park, this game was a very exciting Rivalry Series game. The entire city of Hoover was in anticipation of this large Rivalry game, with construction signs posted all over town indicating traffic delays due to the game.

Vincent Harris
Vestavia Hills
Vincent played for Vestavia from 1981-1985. He was the 6A "Player of the Year" in 1984 with 23 touchdowns and over 2,000 yards. Harris was the starting linebacker and running back and also played on special teams. He signed with Auburn University and played for Coach Pat Dye. Vincent lost his life in a freak accident in 2001.
Kurt Crain
Hoover
Crain was a 1983 graduate of Berry High School. He played Tight End and was the leading tackler his Junior and Senior Seasons. Kurt made All State 1st Team his Senior year and was honorable mention in his Junior year.
