Since 1922, these two schools have battled it out for bragging rights within the state of Louisiana. The oldest rivalry in the state of Louisiana always brings excitement and anticipation to New Orleans. Two schools that emerged from the floodwaters of Katrina have remained determined to continue this rivalry. Played in a stadium that was 7 feet underwater after the hurricane, this year’s game was witnessed by one of the top crowds ever, approaching 10,000.

GAME SUMMARY

This game was marred with lots of turnovers from the beginning. Interceptions, fumbles, and penalties scarred the outcome of the game. Jesuit dominated the entire game and overcame those obstacles. The 9th ranked Blue Jays amassed a whopping 442 yards to claim the victory.
