Friday, September 20th marked the 100th Homecoming Anniversary for East High School. As a result additional festivities were planned around the East vs. Highland rivalry, which included a parade, an extended halftime featuring a “walk of alums” and a fireworks show. The East fans that were in attendance were also treated to a big victory over their rival, Highland High School, in a game that had the Leopards of East High School dominating the game in every way imaginable. The Rams of Highland High School avoided the shutout in the fourth quarter when Issac Valles, scored a touchdown on a quarterback keeper. For the Rams these were unfortunately their only points of the evening as the final score was 29-7.
