Since the re-districting of the Greenbelt, MD school system in 2004, the rivalry between Eleanor Roosevelt and Dr. Henry Wise has only gotten stronger. The tradition will continue on Friday, September 6th during the Great American Rivalry Series presented by the US Marines. The series record currently sits at a 14-5, favoring Henry Wise. They defended their all-time record lead with yet another win last year in a 21-14 game.

Following their close win last year, Henry Wise extended the series record to 15-5 over rival Eleanor Roosevelt as the Pumas pitched the shutout of the Raiders 41-0. It was an impressive offensive performance as Henry Wise junior 4-star wide receiver, Jalil Farooq, led the Pumas attack and scoring explosion and was named the Great American Rivalry Series MVP presented by the United States Marine Corps. Equally impressive was the Henry Wise defense who kept the Raiders off the scoreboard.
