Another Bishop McDevitt-Harrisburg game. Another Bishop McDevitt win. The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders won their sixth straight over the Harrisburg Cougars on Friday night, 35-14, in front of just under 10,000 fans at McDevitt’s brand-new Rocco Ortenzio Stadium.
Junior quarterback Nick Marsilio threw for 171 yards -- 160 in the first half -- and had a 27-yard TD pass to sophomore Bryce Hall that gave the Crusaders a 19-14 lead at halftime. Senior back Darian Davis Ray finished with 108 yards, including a 65-yard TD run on the Cougars' first play. Senior back Robert Martin, a Rutgers recruit, had 43 yards and a TD for Harrisburg before a knee injury knocked him out of the game in the third quarter. Bishop McDevitt wins the game and their first Great American Rivalry Series Championship Trophy and hats.
