The football rivalry between Green Bay’s East and West high schools is one of the oldest and most storied in the state of Wisconsin. This year marked the 110th game in a series that has left a rich and enduring lore, drawn larger crowds on occasion than the Green Bay Packers, and fueled raw and passionate emotions. The history of the rivalry is also filled with legendary names and heroic deeds.

Tyler is a 3 year letterman and 2 year captain on the football team. He has spent all four years at West as a member of the track team. He will be attending the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse and studying Athletic Training.
Nathaniel Osterberg

Green Bay East

Nathan will be a 2 year letterman on the Varsity football team and is a 2 year letterman in Track. Nathan is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Academic Social Studies Team. Nathan is undecided on his plans after graduation.

Dave Mason

Green Bay West

Dave played in the Green Bay East vs. West rivalry game for 2 years. After high school Dave went to the University of Nebraska where he was a part of back to back national championship seasons in 1970 and 1971 with the 1971 team being voted the best college football team ever. Dave was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings and played that season with the New England Patriots. He was able to come home the following year and play with the Green Bay Packers. Dave is currently a successful dentist living in Green Bay.
The 1995 Red Devil Football Team

Green Bay East

In 1995, East won its first Valley title since 1978 behind quarterback Ben Kolstad. East finished 6 – 1 in the conference and proceeded to win two playoff games for a 9 – 3 overall record.

GAME SUMMARY

The Green Bay East Red Devils beat the Green Bay West Wildcats 43-8 on Friday night at Del Marcelle Stadium in the 110th meeting and the first as members of the Bay Conference after both moved from the Fox River Classic in the offseason. The Red Devils lead the historic all-time series 58-49-3 and have won 17 of the past 20 meetings. The teams met for the first time in 1905.
