Welcome to Memorial Field, where the Glenbard East Rams will host the Glenbard South Raiders in a DuPage County rivalry that has become a staple of Illinois high school football. This matchup is one of over 100 featured games in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

Separated by only a few miles, these neighboring programs have built a rivalry fueled by community pride and conference implications. Glenbard East traces its history back to the original Glenbard High School, while Glenbard South has established itself as a consistent contender in Illinois football since opening in 1972. 

Both schools have produced numerous collegiate athletes and have enjoyed postseason success throughout their histories. The annual meeting often draws one of the largest crowds of the season as former classmates, neighbors, and family members find themselves on opposite sidelines. 

Mark your calendar for September 18th, as approximately 2,000 fans will gather to witness another installment of this DuPage County showdown.

Michael is a mutli-sport athlete in football and tennis. He is a member of the National Honor Society. Michael is a member of the Glenbard South Math team. Michael has competed in the state math competition three times. This year will be his fourth year. Michael volunteers at a local food pantry each month. Michael wants to pursue a career in electrical engineering. We are very proud of Michael and look forward to seeing what his future holds for him.
Evan Reichert

Evan has been a model Ram student athlete since the day he walked in this building four years ago. Not only does he compete in 3 sports, but he has done multiple community service projects, he’s attended the West Point leadership summit, and been in congressmen Sean Carsten’s STEM program. He’s volunteered in the community at local churches and the American legion. We are very proud of Evan and look forward to watching him excel in whatever he chooses to do.
