The Muck Bowl, as this rivalry has been dubbed for over 30 years, is the biggest game in southern Florida. This is an annually played game that has been featured on ESPN and both teams are former state champions. They play for a coveted trophy that has been awarded to the winning team since the beginning. For both communities, this is one of the most anticipated events of the year.

Pahokee

Cre’von graduated in 2012 and played in the rivalry all four years. He played on both offence and defense as a Defensive Back and a Wide Receiver. He currently plays for the Bears.
Donald Thompson

Glades Central

Coach Thompson has served the Pahokee community as a player, coach and community activist. He coached the 1st State Championship team in Pahokee in 1989. He has been a coach and father figure for over 50 years.

GAME SUMMARY

Pahokee came into the game as the favorite with a record of 9-0. However, Glades Central had won the 8 previous Muck Bowl games. Pahokee jumped out to an early lead and successfully maintained that lead through the entire game. Glades Central was forced to play catch up. Pahokee capped off their perfect season winning 27-14 and breaking their almost decade long loosing streak to Glades Central.
