GAME SUMMARY

Not many would have predicted this battle for Whatcom County would be such a blowout, but Lynden came out of the gate ready to go and steamrolled their way to a 30-6 victory over rival Ferndale. The Lynden Lions' defense absolutely shut down the Ferndale offense, holding them scoreless until less than three minutes left in the game. The Lynden offense, meanwhile, played their part in the victory putting up 30 unanswered points. The Lions' offense ended up with 287 total yards, 158 through the air and 129 on the ground, the definition of balance. Lynden just proved too much for Ferndale in this season's version of this intense rivalry.
