From the opening kickoff, both teams brought intensity, trading early defensive stops as the game settled into a physical battle. But midway through the first quarter, Massapequa broke the stalemate with a methodical drive capped by a short touchdown run to take a 7–0 lead. Farmingdale looked to respond, but stalled drives and tough defense kept them off the scoreboard. In the second quarter, Massapequa began to take full control. A pair of quick scoring drives — both finished on the ground — pushed the lead to 21–0 as they wore down the Dalers up front. Just before halftime, Farmingdale managed to get on the board with a field goal, cutting the deficit to 21–3. But that would be their only points of the afternoon. Massapequa’s defense continued to dominate in the second half, forcing punts and limiting big plays. In the fourth quarter, one final touchdown run sealed it for the Chiefs, extending the lead to 28–3 and closing the door on any hopes of a comeback. With the win, Massapequa stays unbeaten and sends a clear message as a top contender in the region. For Farmingdale, it’s a humbling loss in a rivalry that always delivers intensity, and one they’ll surely remember heading into the postseason.
