El Paso vs. Austin will be showcased on the Great American Rivalry stage for the second time in history but has been a Texas tradition since 1930. The Battle of the Claw, as it is known is meeting for the 88th time in history this year. The Austin Panthers currently lead the series at 55-32-2. This season the El Paso Tigers have a chance to redeem themselves as they are on a three game skid against the Panthers.

Miguel better known a “Mikey” has been a hardworking, loyal and devoted athlete at Austin. Miguel is also a regional qualifier on the wrestling team. Miguel is currently holding a 3.63 GPA and plan to join the military upon graduating.
Eddie Lopez

Eddie is on the varsity Football, Basketball, and Track team . Along with his athletic and extracurricular accomplishments, Eddie is a part of the El Paso High AP Capstone Magnet Program, STEM Magnet Program, & Dual Language Magnet Program. He plans to one day be a physical therapist for a collegiate or professional athletic organization.
