As a part of Bonita Vista and East Lake’s rivalry, each year they compete for a boot trophy. The boot currently resides at Bonita Vista and East Lake is set out to bring the boot back to their school where they held it for 10 consecutive years before Bonita Vista stole it two years ago.

In the battle for the coveted “boot” trophy, East Lake came out in hopes to claim back the trophy they once housed for 10 years. Eastlake crushed Bonita Vista on Friday night winning 55 – 0 and solidifying Bonita Vista’s winless season. Eastlake came out strong at the beginning on the game and was ahead 34 - 0 by the end of the half, putting Bonita Vista too far behind to come back in the second half. The MVP for the game, Billy Dunkle #76, had an outstanding game that helped keep Eastlake to a shutout win over Bonita Vista.
