These two cross town rivals meet again this fall! This game is traditionally played around the Thanksgiving Holiday, brings together two of the best teams in the state. East Stroudsburg and Stroudsburg meet every year to play for the “Lil Brown Jug” that goes to the winning team. East Stroudsburg looks to make it three straight wins against their rival this November.
Aiden is a four-year member of the football team and baseball team. Serving as the quarterback for Stroudsburg, he not only is great at this position but excels academically with a 4.0 GPA. In addition, he is a member of Aevidum, student government, National Honor Society, and EPC Student Athlete Character Council.
East Stroudsburg South
Jakob is a member of the football team and the competitive cheer team. During his time on these teams, the football team has won a District XI Championship and the cheer team won the District XI Championship and placed 3rd at the PIAA State Championships. He is an honors student, a Special Olympics Volunteer and a Volunteer Student Helper at the Elementary School field days. Jakob plans to study Kinesiology and become a Physical Therapist.
The Mountaineers dominated in the first half with two TD’s. Those two impressive scores plus a field goal put Stroudsburg up 17-0. The South Cavaliers put 6 on the board plus a 2PC but the Mountaineers answered with another touchdown taking home the “Little Brown Jug” with a final score of 23-8.
