For the last 129 years, “The Old Rivalry” has established itself as one of the top rivalries in all of high school football. These two powerhouses have battled it out on the gridiron 139 times, with the Male Bulldogs enjoying a commanding 88-45-6 record in the series. Male is currently riding a seven game winning streak in the series and will be looking to keep “The Barrel” when the Great American Rivalry Series returns to Louisville this fall.

Antonio is a 3-year letterman in football and maintains a 3.95 GPA. He was an All-Metro Pre-Season Offensive Line selection. He is a leader both on and off the field for the Bulldogs. Antonio plans to attend The Ohio State University and major in Exercise Science.

Jackson is a 3-year letterman in football and maintains a 4.43 weighted GPA. In addition to maintaining a full courseload of AP classes and Louisville Academy coursework throughout High School, Jackson is the President and Founder of the Pardoned for Innocence project, Co-Founder and President of Campaign Spark, and President & Founder of the TEDx club for Dupont Manual. He is the recipient of multiple awards and honors outside of school and is a model student-athlete for the Crimson.
GAME SUMMARY
It was a defensive showdown in Louisville tonight as the Manuel Crimsons took on the Male Bulldogs in the 140th meetup of “The Old Rivalry”. Male broke the ice with a 25 yd TD pass to make the score 7-0 with just under 5 minutes left in the first half. Manual put 3 on the board in the 4th quarter with a crucial field goal. The Bulldogs found themselves looking to score on a 1st down at the 14 and followed through with a touchdown. This year’s Battle for the Barrel ended with Male securing their 8th win in their streak with a final score of 14-3.
