Bergen Catholic was itching for one more miracle ending, but Don Bosco didn’t budge. Down the stretch, the Ironmen were disciplined and played Ironman strong to the wire, spoiling what would have been Bergen Catholic’s first outright title in the Big North United.

Matthew is a 3 year varsity player on the Don Bosco Prep football team. He has lettered while starting at right tackle as well as being the long snapper on special teams. Matthew has 15 Division 1 offers, including offers from Harvard, Yale, and Columbia. He plans to pursue a degree in Business and continue his football playing career. Presenting the award is SGT Braithwaite.
Robert Finstra
Bergen Catholic
Robert is a 3 year member of the Bergen Catholic varsity football program, and currently a starter on the offensive line. Off the field, Robert is a member of the National Honor Society, the Vice President of DECA, a member of the Scarlet & Gold society, and volunteers his time at the Hawthorne Citizen Police Academy. Presenting the award is SGT Morabito.

Brian Toal
Don Bosco
Arriving on the Don Bosco Prep campus in the fall of 2003, inductee Brian Toal assisted in reshaping the rivalry between Don Bosco Prep and Bergen Catholic. After a high school senior season in which he made 106 tackles and 10.5 sacks as a linebacker and ran for 1,063 yards and 32 touchdowns as a half back, Toal was named an All-American by USA Today. Toal was also named Gatorade player of the year following the 2003 football season. A two-time All-State first team selection, he led Don Bosco Prep to back to back JJSIAA Parochial Group 4 titles in 2002 and 2003. Brain continued his education at Boston College. He was considered one of the most coveted recruits in BC football history. Toal played in all 12 games as a true freshman, starting the final nine. Wolver Jean-Pierre
Bergen Catholic
Wolver Jean-Pierre proved to be one of the most prolific running backs in Bergen Catholic’s storied football history. The 2005 graduate finished his illustrious career 3rd all-time in school history in points, 4th all-time in rushing touchdowns, and 3rd all-time in rushing yards.
Jean-Pierre continues to share the BC school record for most touchdowns in a single game with (5), and was an instrumental part of Bergen Catholic’s 2004 state championship team. Jean-Pierre went on to play college football at James Madison University, playing running back and wide receiver. Give a big round-of-applause for Bergen Catholic’s #22, Wolver Jean-Pierre.
