This Rivalry game, otherwise known as the “Battle on the River” was the talk of the town, with the Hahnville Tigers playing the Destrehan Wildcats. Despite Tropical Storm Karen looming, the game went on as planned.

GAME SUMMARY

The Destrehan Wildcats easily beat the Hahnville Tigers, 49-0, in front of over 4,800 fans at Hahnville High School. The Wildcats jumped in early to score when Quarterback Donovan Isom threw a 53 yard pass to Kurk Merrit. They never let up as passes were thrown and interceptions were made, bringing the score to 42-0 at the half. The Hahnville Tigers held the wildcats throughout the second half, only to have Destrehan’s #14 Austin Dickerson make an interception for a touchdown and ending the game at 49-0.
