Kyle is a two-sport letterman, in football and baseball, for Lancaster and plays tailback for the football team. He currently ranks 23rd in his class.
Ryan Friedrich

Depew

Ryan is a two-year letterman for the Wildcats and a three-sport athlete, participating also in track and wrestling. He is a member of the Varsity D Club and Spanish Club. He volunteers at the Erie County Medical Center and plans to study math at Canisius College next year.

Tom Played 2 years in this rivalry series, 1973-1974, and earned the coveted “Tomahawk” Award as a varsity Redskin in ‘74. Tom played linebacker for the Redskins and now serves as president and founding member of the Redskin Football Alumni Association.
Michael Salvadore

Depew

Mike played offensive guard and linebacker in the Lancaster-Depew game in his junior and senior years. As captain of the 1977 team, he led Depew to a 7-5 win and ended a streak of four straight wins by Lancaster. Mike graduated from the University of Buffalo and today owns CATCO Construction. He is one of the biggest supporters of Wildcat Athletics, donating hundreds of sweatshirts each year to the department. He also donates scholarships to deserving student-athletes so they can attend college. Mike epitomizes what it means to say, “Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.”

GAME SUMMARY

For 58 and a half minutes on Friday night, the Lancaster High School Redskins were headed toward a historic upset of the heavily favored cross town rival Depew Wildcats in the annual battle. But with 1:36 left in the game, Great American Rivalry Series MVP Mike Miller took a screen pass from Depew quarterback Aaron Ertel and ran 46 yards for the winning score.
