Xaiver is a 4 year football player, a 2 year rugby player and wrestled for one year. He is in men’s honor chorus and was in the school play, “West Side Story.” Xaiver is a school retreat leader and an XXSS leader. He is looking at Penn State, Virginia Tech, and the University of Pennsylvania where his dad attended. His dad, James is a Good Counsel Freshman coach.

Robbie is a letterman on the Varsity football team. Before moving to Maryland, Robbie was a 1st team all-state performer in Virginia. He plans to attend Arizona State University and pursue a degree in sports law.

Louis Young

Good Counsel

Louis was a 3 year starter on offense and defense, and was the team captain. He was a Washington Post all met and a Maryland State Defensive Player of the Year. He received a full scholarship to Georgia Tech where he started all 3 years. Louis is currently playing for the Carolina Panthers. Accepting his award tonight is his mother, Terri Odom.
Cameron Phillips

DeMatha

Cameron played in the DeMatha/Good Counsel rivalry his sophomore, junior and senior year. As a captain of the 2013 squad, he led his team to a 21-0 win over Good Counsel and a WCAC championship. Cameron became the 2013 Maryland State Player of the Year and is currently a starting wide receiver for the Virginia Tech Hokies. Accepting his award tonight is his mother, Leesa Nicholson.

GAME SUMMARY

The 30 mile distance between the schools did not take away from the rivalry between them, as the ballgame demonstrated. The stags and the falcons went head to head on a close scoring game. In the end, the DeMatha stags took the win by 5 points, with a final score of 28-23.
