These two have battled for league titles for several years in what is often considered the best football state in the nation. Delphos St. Johns came into the game as a 6-time state champion, so Coldwater had their work cut out for them.

GAME SUMMARY

The game started off with turnovers, with Delphos St. Johns throwing an interception on just the second play of the game. Coldwater capitalized with a forty yard touchdown reception by Josh Huber. Coldwater added a 43 yard field goal to take the score to 10-0. St. Johns fought back, however, and took the lead 14-10. The second half also started with turnovers by the Coldwater players, but they continued to battle for the win up until the final whistle. It was a late pass by Coldwater to the MVP, Caleb Siefring, with a minute left in the game, that led to a 17-10 lead and eventual win for Coldwater.
