This rivalry game between Foley and Daphne has a long standing tradition of being a nail biting, down to the wire football game that leaves fans on the edge of their seats. This meeting between the two teams followed in the same tradition. After a strong first half, the Trojans were up on Foley High by 20 points and the game seemed to be getting out of hand. Coach Watson of Foley lit a spark in his team during halftime and it showed throughout the second half. Foley scored three unanswered touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters to take the lead by one point with five minutes left in the game. Daphne drove the ball down the field to kick a field goal, answered by another field goal by Foley. With 1 minute left, Daphne got the ball downfield and kicked yet another field goal to solidify the victory for Daphne high school by two points.

GAME SUMMARY

Both teams posted a strong 8-3 record last season, making it to post season play. This game, however, is what the entire community truly looks forward to. In the past three years, this rivalry has seen single, double, and even triple overtime games. In the last six years, however, Daphne has clinched the victory away from Foley.
