With a 47 year history between the two schools, the “Classic City Championship” between Cedar Shoals and Clarke Central in “The Jungle” is heavily anticipated. Thousands of fans gather each year to watch the two schools battle it out on the field. Clarke Central currently is ahead with a 36-17 record lead. However, the Jaguars are closing the gap with a win last year against the Gladiators.

Jaheim has been a member of FBLA and finished with High Honors leading up to his senior year. He was voted the Golden Helmet Award winner on his 2018 football team, an award that is given to the football player with the highest GPA.
Isaac Ward

Clarke Central High School

Isaac is a two-year starter as the varsity quarterback. He is also a two-year starter for the varsity basketball team and four-year starter for the varsity baseball team. He is a member of the National Honor Society and school orchestra. He is currently undecided on where he will attend college.

GAME SUMMARY

Clarke Central returned the favor from its loss in 2018 to Cedar Shoals as they extended their rivalry series lead to 37 wins versus 17 defeats in the 2019 match-up between the Gladiators and the Jaguars. In a game which Clarke Central and Cedar Shoals kept close early, Clarke Central took the lead and never looked back. Game MVP, O'Brien Barnett, helped the Gladiators to finish a fairly dominating performance and convincing win holding the Jaguars to just two scores while racking up 34 points.
