The Hamilton vs. Chandler game is known as the “Battle for Arizona Avenue”, and they hand out the Arizona Avenue Trophy after the game to the winning team. This matchup started out with Hamilton winning the first twelve matchups, however recently Chandler has won the last four. Both of these schools have had multiple alumni play in the NFL and at major Division I universities. Needless to say, the talent levels are high when these two teams take the field. The electricity in the stadium was impressive.

Chandler who was considered the favorite, started the game with two quick rushing touchdowns to take the lead 14-0. However, Hamilton didn’t give up and answered back with a touchdown through the air to make the game 14-7. By the mid point in the second quarter Hamilton had tied the game up at 21 and if not for a big dropped pass, they might have had the lead at this point in the game. Before the half Chandler answered back with a touchdown to make the halftime score Chandler 28 and Hamilton 21. People around the stadium were thinking this game was going to be close going down to the wire. However, Chandler had different ideas as they used their massive line to outscore Hamilton 28-7 in the third quarter. In the 4th quarter, both teams emptied most of their bench and Chandler went on to win 63-28.
