GAME SUMMARY
It was an epic Thursday night in San Diego at the Holy Bowl. Featuring the long standing rivalry between the Cathedral Catholic Dons and St. Augustine Saints! With two straight punts to kick off the game, the saints went for it but couldn’t convert turning the ball over to the Dons. With both teams offense and defense going strong, the Saints made it to the red zone punching it in placing themselves on the board first. On the return, the Dons got the ball and a big first down with the fans going wild. WIth 25 seconds to get a TD before the half, the Dons answer entering the half 7-7. The Saints kicked off the 2nd half with an interception! Leading the Saints to punch in another with the point after touchdown blocked bringing the score up to 13-7 with just 7 minutes to go in the 3rd. The Saints were on fire with a massive throw into the end zone making the score now 20-7. The Dons fight back scoring with one minute left in the 3rd creeping up to 20-14. Pushing for a miracle, the Dons run a 50 yarder into the end zone to come within 6! However, the Dons came up short ending the game with the Saints taking home the hardware for a final score of 27-21.
