Thanksgiving morning 2013 marked the end of the longest winning streak for one team during the 126 year history of the Boston Latin vs. Boston English Series. The game between these two rival schools is the longest continuous rivalry series game in the United States. The series the started in 1887 is played on Thanksgiving morning at Harvard Stadium.

GAME SUMMARY

The 2013 edition of the game saw Boston English score as time expired ending the 17 year winning streak of Boston Latin and marked only the third time in the last 35 years that Boston English was victorious. The game on Thanksgiving morning was dominated from start to finish by the low temperatures and strong wind. Both teams failed to move the ball throughout the first half of the game. Boston English Quarterback Emmanuel Almonte won the Great American Rivalry Series Most Valuable Player leading his team to victory in the final minute of the game throwing the winning touchdown as time expired to give Boston English a 18-12 victory.
