Marco Pecora

Richland

Marco started at QB for Richland from 2004-2007. From 2004 to 2006, the Crushers outscored the Rams by a score of 137-24. In 2007, Marco threw for 187 yards and rushed for 128 yards to propel the Rams to their first win over the Crushers in 48 years. The magical 2007 season ended a 20-year playoff drought as the Rams entered the playoffs for the first time since 1987. After graduating from Richland, Marco earned a scholarship and played football for the University of Pittsburgh. Marco completed his final season of eligibility as the starting safety at IUP. Marco is currently an assistant coach at Saint Francis University. Presenting the award is Marine Sgt. Reyes, Congratulations Marco!
Josh Seidel

Bishop McCort

Josh was a 3-year letterman at Bishop McCort. In 2009, Josh had a special night against Richland, as he scored 6 TD’s, a special accomplishment as it tied the school record for TD’s held since 1981 by his late father, Dave, who passed away that August after a long battle with brain cancer. Josh accounted for 327 yards, later being named to Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” and named ESPN RISE East Player of the Week. Josh went on to break the school’s single season scoring record, previously shared by Artrell Hawkins, Pete Duranko, and Eric Lowry. He was named the AP and Pennsylvania Football News 1st team All-State and earned the Tribune Democrat’s Offensive Player of the Year Award. Presenting the award is Marine Sgt. GAME SUMMARY

Richland fell behind early 7-0, but that was all the defense would allow the remainder of the game. The offense, led by QB Jonny Kutchman, put up 42 unanswered points to capture the victory. Kutchman was named the 2014 Great American Rivalry Series MVP.
