On the first night of “Official Football Weather” in northeast Ohio, the St. Vincent-St. Mary Irish and the Archbishop Hoban Knights met on the gridiron in front of a huge crowd. The two schools were looking to stick it to their cross town rivals and make their mark ina historic rivalry.

Kerrigan is a three-year letter winner in both football and baseball. He was voted second team All-North Coast League in baseball last year. Kerrigan is a National Honor Society member with a 4.307 GPA and has achieved Highest Honors all three years at Hoban. He is an Academic Knight, Student Council Spirit Committee member, and a student ambassador. He is pictured with his parents, Brian and Carol.

St. Vincent St. Mary

Nick carries a 4.405 GPA and is a three-year letterman for the varsity football team. He is also a member of the Student Council, Peer Ministry, National Honor Society, and Junior Statesmen of America. Nick and his family are members of St. Hilary Parish. He was accompanied by his parents, Jim and Renee.

GAME SUMMARY

The first half lived up to pre-game predictions, a defensive battle with both teams sticking to the basics on offense. The Irish had a 7-0 lead at the half. The seconf hald was more of the same. St. Vincent and St. Mary wrapped up the game at 20-0.
