John Ayres

John is the son of John and Linda Ayres. He is a 4 year starter, both offensively and defensively, and is a 3 year captain. He is a three time winner of the mike terry award for outstanding back in the annual coal bucket game, the 2015 star physical therapy comeback player of the year, the 2016 Glenn "Bonesey" Adams award winner for dedication, attitude, and determination, and the 2017 San Ficca tornado of the year award winner. John currently has 3844 yard rushing and 5582 yards of total offensive, which is 4th highest in school history. He is the 6th player in school history to score over 300 points. His next touchdown will be the 50th of his career. He is also the 20th player in school history to rush for over 1000 yards in a season and only the 7th player to do it twice. He is only one of two players to run and throw for over 100o yards. John is also a 3 year varsity starter in both basketball and baseball. John is currently ranked in the top 5 in his class and is a member of the national honor society. As a senior, he enrolled in Mt. Carmel area's ace program and takes his classes at Bloomsburg University. While at mca, he has participated in latin club, interact club, future teachers of America, future nurses of America, and student council. John is also a volunteer for the mca special olympics. After high school, john plans on attending college to pursue a degree in either accounting or actuarial science.
