Braxton is a 2 year starter for Alcoa high school, who has won 5 straight state time state championships, going for 6th in a row this season. Despite missing last track season; Braxton is 2 times All-State in the discus and 1 time All-State in the shot put. Braxton has done all this while maintaining a 4.354 GPA and scoring a 33 on the ACT. Braxton also works numerous mowing jobs and volunteers in the children's ministry at church.
