Welcome to French Field, where the Kent-Meridian Royals will host the historic Taylor Trophy rivalry game against longtime rival, the Auburn Trojans. This Washington state showdown has embodied the passion and pride of high school football since 1908 and will be featured as one of over 100 games in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

These two schools have squared off an incredible 116 times, making it the second-longest recorded rivalry in Washington state history. Auburn currently leads the series 60-50-6 and has dominated recent matchups, winning 20 of the last 22. Last season’s victory followed suit, as the Trojans put on a dominant performance, thanks to their offense exploding for 67 points in an impressive 67-27 win. 

At stake is the coveted Taylor Trophy, a symbol of bragging rights and gridiron glory. The atmosphere promises to be electric as generations of fans come together once again for this timeless battle.
