Welcome to Lockport High School Stadium, where 3,000 fans will pack the stands for the annual clash between the Lockport Porters and the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings. Since the rivalry’s start in 2005, these two programs have built a fierce tradition that continues to highlight Illinois high school football, and this year’s contest is part of the 22nd season of the Great American Rivalry Series. 

In their 20 total meetings, Homewood-Flossmoor has maintained control of the series with a 15–5 advantage. Last season, though, Lockport came out on top in a thrilling 36–32 victory, proving the balance of power can shift at any time. Over the past four years, the rivalry has been dead even at 2–2, setting the stage for another highly competitive showdown. 

On September 12th, expect another intense battle as two proud programs meet once again to write the next chapter of Illinois high school football.
