The second to last matchup of this historic New York Rivalry delivered nothing but excitement. As Lancaster hosted Depew for the final time, they made sure to bring the energy on both sides of the ball. The game started off slow, with the score being 7-0 Lancaster after the first quarter. Everything beyond that, provided action. Lancaster scored five straight touchdowns to lead 42-0 at half, including a Colton Schaefer touchdown where he showed tremendous effort fighting off four Depew players for the score. Depew started the 3rd quarter strong with a touchdown and some great defensive play. The touchdown, scored by junior Zach Bridenbaker, displayed great strength as he fought off three Lancaster defenders before being dragged into the endzone by his teammate. Depew gave it their best effort to win after half, but it ultimately wasn’t enough. This brings Lancaster their 10th straight win. They will look to make it 11 straight for the final time next season, while Depew looks to end the streak and take bragging rights for the last time.
