This Washington state showdown has embodied the passion and pride of high school football since 1908 and will be featured as one of over 100 games in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series.
These two schools have squared off an incredible 116 times, making it the second-longest recorded rivalry in Washington state history. Auburn currently leads the series 60-50-6 and has dominated recent matchups, winning 20 of the last 22. Last season’s victory followed suit, as the Trojans put on a dominant performance, thanks to their offense exploding for 67 points in an impressive 67-27 win.
At stake is the coveted Taylor Trophy, a symbol of bragging rights and gridiron glory. The atmosphere promises to be electric as generations of fans come together once again for this timeless battle.

Welcome to Ray Moore Stadium, as the Victor Valley Jackrabbits host the 55th meeting of the storied “Bell Game” against their longtime rival, the Apple Valley Sun Devils. First played in 1969, this heated rivalry has become a cornerstone of California high school football, delivering decades of passion, intensity, and unforgettable moments. This year’s clash will be featured as one of over 100 games in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series.
Apple Valley has been dominant in this series, holding a 38-16 advantage, including a commanding 63-20 win in 2023. “The Bell Game” wasn’t played in 2024, but it was played last season, with the Jackrabbits of Victor Valley avenging that 43-point loss with a 21-14 win that snapped the Sun Devils incredible 12-game winning streak.

This rivalry is one of the best in the entire state of Ohio, with 141 meetings in its illustrious history. Currently, the Trojans hold a narrow 69-66-6 lead over the Indians. Last season, Troy extended with their 3rd straight win in the series with a 28-7 victory. Prior to the last three seasons, Piqua had won three matchups in a row just like the Trojans have recently, but now they’re trying to put an end to that streak and start another one of their own.

Pueblo Centennial vs Pueblo Central

Welcome to Dutch Clark Stadium, where the Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs will host the traveling Pueblo Central Wildcats, this Connecticut matchup is one of over 100 featured games in the 23rd season of the Great American Rivalry Series.
Currently, the Wildcats are in control of the series with a 63-51 record over the Bulldogs. Last season Wildcats dominated in a 50-15 win. This legendary rivalry goes back to 1892, coming off a close match up, this year will be one for the books.

Currently, both teams have been trading blows these past couple of seasons as this rivalry is always a neck and neck battle. Last season saw Hartford take care of business over their rival with a 26-14 victory over Rutland. This season sees these two rivals go head-to-head as the Raiders look to avenge last year’s defeat.

Lakeville South vs Shakopee
Minnesota
Welcome to Lakeville South High School, where the Lakeville South Cougars will host the traveling Shakopee Sabers. This Minnesota matchup features two familiar South Metro programs who are ready to renew a competitive rivalry on the gridiron.
Lakeville South currently holds the edge in the recent series, winning two of the last three meetings between these programs. However, the Sabers enter this matchup with momentum from the most recent meeting, earning a thrilling 16-12 victory over the Cougars in 2025. Lakeville South answered in the 2023 playoffs with a dominant 30-13 win over Shakopee, while the Cougars also claimed a 28-10 victory during the 2022 regular season.
With both programs boasting strong football traditions and post-season aspirations, Friday night promises another hard-fought chapter between Lakeville South and Shakopee. The Cougars will look to defend their home field and reclaim the momentum, while the Sabers will look to build on last season’s narrow victory.
