Both programs are renowned for their football prowess, boasting 9 state championships each and producing NFL talents like Jeff George, a Warren Central alum who was the number 1 pick in the 1990 NFL Draft.

The anticipation is palpable as over 4,000 fans are expected to pack Warrior Stadium. Last year, Carmel edged out Warren Central in a thrilling 17-14 battle, adding fuel to this year’s highly anticipated rematch, Despite Carmel’s overall series lead, Warren Central holds a perfect 4-0 record against Carmel in state championship showdowns, adding an extra layer of intensity to this storied rivalry.

In a clash that spans generations, the Odessa Permian Panthers and Odessa Bronchos renew their storied rivalry in the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series. Since its inception in 1969, this showdown has captivated the West Texas community, drawing crowds of 18,000 to 20,000 faithful to Ratliff Stadium. 

The Panthers hold a commanding 45-10 lead in the all-time series, but the Bronchos come into this year’s matchup emboldened by their thrilling overtime victory last season, ending a decade-long drought against Permian. In 2023, they mounted an incredible comeback from a 21-7 deficit to seize a 49-42 win. 

With Permian boasting 7 NFL alumni and Odessa claiming 3 of their own, this clash isn’t just about local pride—it’s a showcase of football excellence.

This storied rivalry, dating back to 1912, is one of the oldest in America, drawing a crowd of 5,000 passionate fans each year. 

 With Geneva holding a narrow all-time series lead of 51-48, the Vikings aim to reclaim their dominance. However, Batavia has momentum, having won the last 14 matchups, including a thrilling 21-18 victory last year where Ryan Boe shined as MVP with both rushing and passing touchdowns. 

This season’s game is part of the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series, adding another layer of prestige to this historic showdown.

Welcome to Buchanan Field, where the stage is set for a clash in the Capital. The 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series features the DeMatha Stags traveling to face the Gonzaga Eagles. These two teams make up one of the most historic rivalries in a series dating back to the 1980s.

As it stands, DeMatha has the upper hand in the all-time series, having won 18 out of the last 27 matchups between the two teams. Last season saw the Stags continue their dominance with a narrow 14-7 win, in their 4th straight victory over the Eagles. However, neither team is a stranger to producing elite NFL talent, as Gonzaga is home to the 2024 1st overall pick Caleb Williams, while DeMatha is the alma mater of 2020 2nd overall pick Chase Young.
