Ken Leach

Oakville (MO)

Ken played in the very 1st game of the Oakville/Mehlville rivalry in September of 1975 almost 40 years ago. He played Tailback and Free Safety. He was 1st team Suburban South; voted best running back and best receiver. Ken played Division 1 College Football at The US Naval Academy in Annapolis (NAVY). He was on the team in 1978 that beat BYU 23-16 in the first Holiday Bowl Game in San Diego. Navy was ranked 17th in the nation in the final UPI Top 20 Rankings that year. Ken started the “feeder team” middle-school program in 1999 and retired after 10 years of dedication to the program. He was elected to the Mehlville School Board for 3 years total; (1 year as President and earned Master Board Certification from the MSBA). Currently Ken serves as a volunteer US Naval Academy Information Officer interviewing USNA Candidates (for the past twelve years).
