An hour and a half before kickoff, the streets of Higbie Lane and Udall road were closed and packed with fans as the community lined up to watch the mile long Homecoming Parade. The band, football players, cheerleaders, floats, Police, fire trucks and the Marines all participated in the festivities. The fans then packed the stands for the homecoming game between West Islip and North Babylon. West Islip won the toss and deferred to defend first. The West Islip Lions enter the game with a 5-0 record and the North Babylon Bulldogs enter 3-2, as both of these teams always battle it out again for the state champions.
