Central Regional defeated Toms River South 27–7 on October 10 in a hard-fought Shore Conference matchup under the lights in Toms River. The game opened with strong defensive play on both sides before Central broke through late in the first half, capitalizing on a pick-six to take the lead and following it with a 90-yard rushing touchdown that shifted momentum in their favor. Toms River South responded before halftime with a determined drive capped by a short touchdown run from Gabriel Villamizar, cutting the deficit to 14–7. In the second half, Central’s ground game continued to find success behind a physical offensive line, adding two more rushing scores while their defense tightened up, forcing key turnovers that stalled several South possessions. Despite flashes of energy from the Indians’ offense, Central’s ability to control the tempo and finish drives ultimately sealed the 27–7 win in a competitive rivalry contest.
