In one of the most iconic rivalries in North Carolina, the South View Tigers and Gray’s Creek Bears clashed in the “Battle of the Bridge”. South View got off to an early start in the first quarter by utilizing their run game and continued through the end of the second quarter. However, despite the Tigers dominant 1st half performance, the Bears were able to march down the field, and score field goal as time expired in the 2nd quarter. Unfortunately for the Bears, this momentum did not continue into the second half, as the Tigers defense remained solid and their offense continued to put points on the board. When the final whistle sounded, the Tigers sealed the victory with a 53-17 win against their rival behind a strong performance by MVP Quarterback Jamal Brown.
