San Pedro’s football team put on a dominant performance Friday night in the “Battle of the Harbor,” defeating Banning 55–13 in their October 10 homecoming clash. The Pirates struck early and often, jumping out to a 34–13 halftime lead and then refusing to let up, piling on three more touchdowns in the third quarter before coasting in the fourth. Quarterback Seth Solorio was electric, tossing four touchdown passes, while wideout Elias Redlew hauled in two scores to stoke the San Pedro offense. Defensively, the Pirates smothered Banning’s attack, intercepting a pass and returning it for a pick- six in the second half to put the game firmly out of reach. All told, San Pedro’s balanced attack and swarming defense combined to deliver a statement win in this storied rivalry.
