The Varina Blue Devils host the Highland Springs Springers at James E. Dawkins Stadium on October 26th, 2024, for the 40th edition of the “Battle of The East.” As part of the 21st season of the Great American Rivalry Series, this matchup brings together two fierce competitors separated by less than 10 miles, drawing a crowd of 5,000 passionate fans.  

The all-time series stands at 20-19 in favor of Varina, but Highland Springs edged out a dramatic 20-19 victory last year, with their quarterback throwing for 94 yards and two touchdowns. The Springers look to even the series, while the Blue Devils aim to defend their home field.
