This season’s edition of the Northside vs Richlands game brought the juice. These two conference foes were looking to this game to kick start the second half of their season and their respective charges for the playoffs with a victory. Northside jumped out early, scoring three touchdowns in the 1st quarter. The Monarchs set the tone for the game with dominant line of scrimmage play and a barrage of deep passes. The Richlands offense struggled to break through the Monarchs defense all night. The second half continued much like the first with the Monarchs seemingly scoring at will, leading to a 43-3 final score. Reginald Gray led the Monarchs offensive attack and took home the MVP award at the end of the night.
