North Little Rock and Little Rock Central renewed their heated rivalry Friday night in the cool Arkansas air. With both teams in the midst of a rebuild, this was a huge game to change the outlook of their season. Both offenses started slow, only scoring 7 points each in the first period. Each defense forced a turnover and blocked a field goal. But the second half was a different story as the Charging Wildcats of North Little Rock took control. After an opening drive TD that made it a one possession game, the defense came alive. Game MVP, Carlos Zamora secured a pick 6, which gave all momentum to the Wildcats, leading to a dominating 49-7 victory. The defense gave Central all it could handle, forcing turnovers and making huge plays that forced each drive to end without any points being scored. Coach Bolding said this was the best defensive game they played all year, sighting their togetherness and competitive fire to only allow 7 points.
